Disc Haemorrhage - D/D

  • Also called Drance hemorrhage, Splinter hemorrhage, nerve fiber layer hemorrhage.

  • Linear hemorrhages perpendicular to the optic disc.

  • On the superotemporal or inferotemporal margin of the disc.


MANAGEMENT:

  • Observation of a disc hemorrhage should prompt a thorough investigation for glaucoma.

  • IOP lowering therapy if required.
