Modified Dandy’s Criteria

Modified Dandy's Criteria for diagnosis of Benign Intracranial Hypertension! (Pseudotumour Cerebri)


Usually seen in women of child bearing age, coupled with obesity.


Most common symptom: Headache (94%).


Hallmark sign: Papilloedema on fundus examination.


Treatment:

- Acetazolamide, Topiramate.

- Ventriculo-peritoneal shunting, Optic nerve sheath fenestration.
