Etiology of Pseudophakic Bullous Keratopathy
Development of irreversible corneal edema after cataract surgery and IOL implantation.
Initially, there is endothelial trauma followed by progressive stromal and epithelial edema.
The epithelial edema results in the formation of bullae, hence the name bullous keratopathy.
